About the Sanctuary
Anca's Ark Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing care for animals that were once abandoned and unwanted! Many animals at the Sanctuary come from kill shelters; others were found as strays. Some of them are un-adoptable due to size, age or behavior, in which case they stay at the Sanctuary their whole lives. Anca's Ark has worked with several out of state rescues to find great homes for the Sanctuary animals.
Anca Neagu is a licensed Professional Engineer. She is also a former member of the US Women's Boxing Team (World Championships - 2005, USA vs. Russia - 2000), a Police Academy graduate (2013), and a former volunteer firefighter (2018).

The Killeen Police Department Explorers Program sent some of their explorers (young adults looking to become police officers) to Anca's Ark to help install fencing for dog enclosures (pictures below). Big thanks to the police department for their help!
